White Roses is a 10x8 oil on a lovely oil primed panel. It was painted from life and I tried to keep the flowers alive while also keeping them away from my cats. Originally there were 12 but I couldn't keep them all in the refrigerator and most wilted. My sweet, crazy cat Binkie especially loves roses. They aren't poisonous so I wouldn't mind her eating a few petals but it does make for a strange still life set-up. It seems many paintings have stories so I guess this one isn't too weird.
