For the longest time I avoided doing a portrait of my favorite person in the world--my husband. Why? I'm not sure but probably fear of disappointing him or even myself. I was elated when he immediately liked it. This was a toughie because as usual he has a hat on and this created a strong shadow over his face. Nevertheless, I managed to get a good likeness and even some of his special character.
